“Unforgotten Love”
Love exists everywhere we go and everywhere we look. Love is the most powerful force on earth. It controls us; it controls the way we act and how we behave. We can not survive in this world without love. We come into this world surrounded by the love of our parents and family. That kind of love never fails and never fades. As we grow and mature, we bond with people who become our friends and a different kind of love develops there. A love of caring for that person, standing up for them, and not wanting anything to happen to them. As we continue to get older, a type of love starts to come above the surface; a love for a significant other. From that love, comes marriage and you vow to love that person until death do you part.
Love can be shown in many different ways such as a hug, kiss on the cheek, or a simple gesture. As you can see in this photograph, placing a white rose on a loved ones name at the 9/11 Memorial can also display it. A white rose is a symbol of purity, innocence, sympathy, and true love. This white rose was placed here on a man’s memorial, named Edward Saiya. He was a hero who gave his life during the tragedy on September 11, 2001. In the background of the picture, you can see a faded figure of one of the twin towers that fell during this tragedy. You can also see all of the people around the memorial, coming to admire and remember all of the people who passed away that day. These people are showing love and gratitude toward the heroes who gave their lives that day and to our country.
Someone who knew Edward Saiya brought this white rose and placed it on his name to show their love for this man. Their immense love for this man compelled them to do this gesture and show their “Unforgotten Love” for him.
